Debt is a mortgage issued to the corporate. The doc that evidences the debt is a promissory notice, which explains the phrases of the mortgage, resembling when the mortgage shall be repaid and at what fee the curiosity have to be paid. Versus fairness, lenders obtain no possession curiosity within the enterprise. However there are exceptions, resembling convertible notes, that are basically debt that may later be transformed to fairness. These are frequent in additional difficult financings, resembling angel investor and enterprise capital financing.
